A Fuchsia Wedding at Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, New Jersey

This grand celebration had an equally bold wedding color we didn't expect: fuchsia. Kristy Neihart (28 and an event planner) and Jeff Neihart (26 and a forensic scientist) were inspired to take on the hue and bright decor after Kristy picked out her wedding shoes. “I fell in love with the Kate Spade bow pumps in pink with sparkles,” she says. On Kristy and Jeff's wedding day, each bridesmaid walked down the aisle of their church ceremony in a backless, floor-length fuchsia dress. Bedminster Florist paired each look with a matching pink bouquet of roses and peonies. Of course, Kristy also included the color in her outfit and carried a bouquet of fuchsia peonies as she made her entrance in a white satin Judd Waddell wedding dress. Jeff met her at the altar in a classic black tuxedo and red boutonniere. Once they exchanged vows, all continued the celebration with a festive night at Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, New Jersey. Kristy and Jeff’s 200 guests enjoyed bright pink Couples Cosmo and Married Manhattan cocktails or mixed martinis in an ice luge as the couple took a few pictures with Therese Marie Wagner Photography on the grounds. Inside, colorful glitter table numbers accented each overflowing arrangement of pink, fuchsia and green blooms. All snagged a few pictures in the photo booth and danced to music from Jason Craig Entertainment before Kristy and Jeff ended the night with a surprise. As a late-night snack, they brought out candy bars, an ice cream cart and hot dogs from Ocean City, New Jersey, their favorite vacation spot. “Our guests haven't stopped talking about the food,” Kristy says.
