Jennifer Garcia (23 and an emergency room technician) and Mario Martinez (23 and a marine) were high school sweethearts. When Mario returned from his deployment to Afghanistan as part of the US Marine Corps, he proposed to Jennifer under a gazebo in Old Town Alexandria, surrounded by all of her friends. The couple decided to get married at Mount Ida Farm in Scottsville, Virginia. The outdoor ceremony occurred under a beautiful white gazebo by the farm's pond. "We loved the idea of getting married under a gazebo since that's where we got engaged," says Jennifer. Their purple and white barn reception was rustic and elegant. Dining tables were decorated with a variety of wildflowers, and string lights were hung throughout the barn. Guests were invited to enjoy an extensive dessert table, which included cupcakes, macarons, chocolate dipped marshmallows and pretzel sticks in addition to the buttercream wedding cake. As a nod to "Hot Rod," the couple's favorite movie, the adorable wedding favors consisted of mugs with mustaches on them. "We incorporated a lot of things that meant a lot to us throughout our relationship," says Jennifer. "Although it may seem insignificant to others, the little things that reflected us are the things we loved the most about our wedding."

On her wedding day, Jennifer wore a strapless ball gown with a lace bodice and a tulle skirt, which she bought from Kleinfeld. She also wore a silver embellished headband in her hair.
Jennifer carried a bouquet with purple roses, pink peonies and lavender on her wedding day.
Mario wore a navy suit with a plaid tie on his wedding day.
Jennifer's bridesmaids wore floor length purple dresses, and her maid of honor wore the same dress in a slightly darker shade of purple. The groomsmen wore gray suits with matching purple ties.
The stylized programs at Jennifer and Mario's wedding doubled as fans, which was perfect for their outdoor spring ceremony.
