A Garden-Inspired Wedding at a Private Residence in Hanover, New Hampshire
Wanting their wedding to serve as a kick-off-to-summer celebration, Erica Hinsley (28, in corporate communications) and Christopher Losak (28, a consultant) planned a garden party filled with vibrant florals, rustic details and an array of white candles. The couple was married on a small hill behind the bride's grandmother's house, and their provincial ceremony had a personal, local touch. It was important to the couple to choose local vendors and involve their family members: dessert was a selection of pies and gelato from businesses in Hanover, and the cake was made by the bride's cousin. DIY details included table wood rounds made by Chris's father, a seating chart with antler designs and a birch wood arbor built by the groom himself using wood from the property. Erica says, "Although all of the details of the wedding were important, what mattered most to us was the vibe of our wedding. We wanted everyone to be relaxed and have a blast, and that's certainly what we got. Our guests came from Boston, Manhattan, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and London, and we had the most incredible time celebrating with our favorite people from all over."
