A Garden-Inspired Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts

Marissa Grey (30 and a creative talent director) and Alex Kaminsky (27 and an engineer) wanted their wedding to be classic and elegant with a touch of ethereal garden. One of the best parts was the stunning pink-bloom-covered branch chuppah gorgeously created by John Scaplen from Spruce Floral. “I wanted everyone to feel like they were in the Garden of Eden,” Marissa says. The arbor was also adorned with moss and rose petals at the base, and was completed with hanging terrariums filled with candles for a whole lot of added romance. Wanting their venue to fit their romantic theme, the couple chose the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts, for its modern yet elegant ballroom overlooking the park. They used a blush, ivory and gold color palette to go with the venue's natural colors, and Lisa Rigby Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. We loved Marissa’s Reem Acra bridal couture lace and tulle wedding dress. She wore her hair in a braided updo and kept her makeup simple for the classic wedding. “I told my fantastic makeup artist and hair stylist to make me look like I walked off the set of the movie 'Pride and Prejudice': natural, glowing and effortlessly put together,” she says. And don’t even get us started on the four-tier beige wedding cake with its ornate cascading white sugar rose. “The food at the Ritz is phenomenal and one of the reasons we decided to get married there,” Marissa says.
