Bright jewel tones and pops of cornflower blue created a festive vibe for Meredith Mosbacher (27 and a production manager) and Michael Pruyn’s (32 and works in sales and trading) church ceremony and warehouse reception.

“I was inspired by my love of color,” Meredith says. “I wanted the day to be festive and joyous—a celebration of love, friends and fun—and for everyone to feel comfortable, and like they could let their hair down and have fun.”

The couple used a projector to display the colorful seating chart on the wall of the venue.

Their wedding was the first to be held at Silver Street Studios, a warehouse-like art gallery in Houston’s hip Fourth Ward. “It’s a huge space—the size of a football field with a concrete floor and industrial roofing,” Meredith says. “I think everyone was a little leery, but I was excited to have a blank canvas.”

Meredith had thin straps added to her heavily beaded gown so she didn’t have to worry about pulling it up all night. “It made the dress,” she said.
