Fourteen years after they first met as teenagers, Ania Bialecki (29 and a chemical engineer) and Ken Lisabeth (31 and a tool and die maker) invited 150 guests to look on as they sealed the deal at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica in London, Ontario. Dressed in a strapless Monique Lhuillier ball gown covered in dramatic rosette detailing, Ania describes the ceremony as "even more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined." Arrangements of hydgrangeas hung from each pew, while Ken's cousin put her violin skills to the test during the couple's processional. Shortly after saying "I do," the newlyweds made their way to FireRock Golf Club in nearby Komoka, where guests sipped signature bubble gum vodka cocktails and pink lemonade. A dramatic, handcrafted paper flower backdrop created by Ania framed the reception space, while other DIY details included framed signs and a candy bar that boasted mini cream eggs and colorful lollipops. For an added bit of glitz, metallic sequined linens topped reception tables, along with towering tree branch centerpieces draped with white orchids. "Our wedding day was exactly what I always envisioned," Ania says. "It was beautiful, elegant, creative and most of all, magical."
