A Glamorous, Ballroom Wedding at St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC
Caroline Manne (28 and a realtor) and Kyle Herrig (32 and an attorney) met at George Washington University's gym, where they were both attending law school. Kyle mentioned that he recognized her because he had helped her with her bag one day during class, which mortified Caroline. The two began dating, and a few years later, Kyle proposed to Caroline at the top of Hawksbill Summit in Shenandoah National Park. The couple got married at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC. Their ceremony was held on Astor Terrace and the following reception was in the hotel's ballroom. "The Astor Ballroom has a lot of charm and character, which is what I really wanted in a venue," says Caroline. The wedding's them was "old world glamor," with a color scheme of ivory, purple and gold. The traditional Jewish ceremony was held outdoors under a white draped chuppah and gold chiavari chairs at the ceremony were decorated with purple roses and baby's breath. The ballroom's ornate details were highlighted by warm uplighting and the crystal chandeliers that hung from its ceiling. Long dining tables covered in gold rosette table linens featured gold candelabras with crystals and flower arrangements of purple and white hydrangeas, roses and lisianthus. Caroline and Kyle ended their stylish wedding with a fairytale first dance and a dreamy almond sponge and chocolate ganache wedding cake.
