When looking for the perfect wedding venue, Kimberly and Nick considered spots, many of them outdoors, in Newport and Westchester, but ended up settling on The Pierre in New York City for their glam wedding celebration. "We were debating getting married outdoors at some of these locations, but in the end, we didn’t want to stress about the weather on our wedding day, so we chose to get married indoors in NYC. We also didn’t want our wedding to feel like a hassle for all of our guests, most of whom were local, so we wanted to stay in NYC area. We wound up choosing the beautiful Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue in NYC and couldn’t be happier with our decision," shares Kimberly of the factors that led to the duo choosing the iconic hotel for their wedding day. Given that the hotel is filled with regal decor, Kimberly and Nick kept their own wedding decor elegant and sophisticated, sticking to a white-and-green palette that complemented the space. "We wanted people to be in the moment and take in all of the beauty and love surrounding them, so we choose a timeless design concept for our rooms."

The couple leaned on their contemporary color palette and floral arrangements to create the aesthetic they had in mind, while also brining unique vibes to each space used throughout the day. The couple "wanted to make sure that our guests felt cool, different vibes in each room they entered," says Kimberly. "In our escort table room, we brought in a huge tree made with a custom baby’s breath installation over an oversized open hole mirror table for a big 'wow' moment upon arrival to the ceremony. Our ceremony room had a very warm ambience and the entire wall behind our chuppah was lined floor to ceiling with a pleated sheer type fabric with hanging candles." Meanwhile, the reception featured all-out glam decor and lots of gold mirrored accents. "Our ballroom had four rectangle tables lining the dance floor and those were topped with mirror table tops.  and those tables had full, continuous designs of crystal glass vessels filled with all white roses in a whimsical design."

Beyond finding ways to knock the visual components of their wedding out of the park, Kimberly and Nick also made intentional planning decisions to ensure the celebration felt unique and personalized to them. Notably, "the Rabbi that married us actually married my parents 33 years ago and has known me for my entire life, so that made the ceremony very special to us," shares Kimberly. The ceremony wasn't the only personalized part of the day, the couple's reception was just a unique and creative.  "Since Nick and I met in high school and it’s such a big part of our love story, our families surprised us with having our high school mascot, the Riverdale Falcon, come dance with us for a couple songs. One of the most special parts of the night, was the surprise song my sisters sang after their maid of honor speech. They surprised us and our guests by singing 'Speechless' by Dan + Shay! Their voices were incredible and it was such a beautiful performance I will never forget. Now “Speechless” has become one of our wedding songs in addition to our first dance song 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. Also, Nick’s brother, Kevin, had a truly epic best man speech that he memorized and it was not only so funny, but very impressive," says Kimberly of the couple's glam wedding at The Pierre.
