A Glamorous Persian Wedding at The Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia
Emily Dupree (30 and an account executive) met Nima Bagheri (30 and a plumber) when she was having problems with her garbage disposal. "I opened my front door, laid eyes on my service technician and fell in love," says Emily. The feeling was mutual and Nima popped the question at Jack's Falls, even though he was bleeding after falling down a ravine! After they both recovered—Emily from the shock and Nima from his injury—the couple began planning their glamorous wedding at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Emily and Nima's cultural ceremony included both Persian and Christian traditions. "The guests laughed, cried and were pleasantly surprised with the brevity of the ceremony—they had a cocktail in their hand 30 minutes after the ceremony!" says Emily. The bride's cascade bouquet made a statement with bold fuchsia peonies, calla lilies and added a pop of color to their cream and gold color palette. Inspired by the Egyptian Ballroom's Mediterranean ambiance, the couple decorated with rich gold and crystal candelabras and as well as nontraditional white calla lily arrangements. A fuchsia confetti grand exit concluded the lux evening and made for contemporary exit photos.
