A Glamorous Pink Wedding at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Wanting to bring lots of romance and glamour to their wedding, Maria Dubovik (29) and Scott Kier (45 and a business owner) used a bold pink, ivory and gold palette throughout the details. “We wanted everything to look romantic, elegant and classy, yet we wanted to make it really fun and not stuffy for our guests,” Maria says. “I also had certain elements—hanging orbs with candles and rose petals scattered throughout—in mind that I knew I wanted from the very beginning.” Wedding planners and florists Lisa Thomas and Kate Wilson from Ooh Events worked with the couple to bring their vision to life with stunning textured flowers and soft white drapery. Our favorite part, though, was Maria’s custom-made Heidi Elnora wedding dress, which the bride got when she was selected for a TV show called “Bride By Design” on TLC. “Heidi is so talented and charismatic, and she has an amazing crew working with her—you feel like they really get you,” Maria says. “And the dress was stunning! It captured my personality and those beaded details off the shoulder and the open back are to die for.” There are so many details we love. See them all, beautifully captured by Richard Bell Photography, below. A tip from Maria: “Don't get stuck on perfect. It's okay if the flowers are a slightly different shade from what you asked for or if the lights are placed at a different angle than you envisioned. You are working with professionals, and they want your day to come out great and to make you happy. So let them do their job, and just enjoy it.”
