A Glamorous Pink Wedding with a Whimsical Twist at The Venue at Waterstone in Celina, Texas

Staci Sellers (27 and an elementary school teacher) and John Stephens (28 and a lighting designer) celebrated their modern day love story with a vintage-glam affair full of pink and mint details paired with plenty of sparkle.

Staci and John’s fall wedding date was significant to the pair, since the bride’s parents married on the same day 35 years earlier. “We made sure to throw in a few surprises for them, like their own first dance and cake cutting,” Staci says. Hand-carved doors framed the couple’s outdoor ceremony—an old-world find that Staci and her mother purchased from a Balinese woodworker while on vacation. “We hope to install the doors in our future home,” Staci says.

Staci wore a custom blush silk organza and French lace ball gown embellished with Swarovski crystals, pearls and fine beads. Despite only having two months to create her dream dress, all of the embellishments were done by hand.

“Everywhere you looked, you saw gold,” Staci says of the celebration. The sparkling accents were highlighted by oversize chandeliers inside and out of the venue’s barn, which was overflowing with pink blooms.
