Straight out of one of the best romantic comedies, Mariel Gonsalves (24 and a makeup artist) and Jeff Torren (32 and a UPS driver) met when Jeff delivered a package to the salon where Mariel worked (Legally Blonde, anyone?). About three years later, the couple exchanged vows at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island, in a glamorous purple wedding. Once Mariel bought her gorgeous David Tutera ball gown (two days after Jeff proposed), she knew she wanted a classic, romantic, sparkly theme. The stunning strapless dress was adorned with crystal beading on the bodice and had silver embroidery down the tulle skirt. She loved how her dress shimmered when the light hit it and added a gorgeous floral crystal broach to her champagne belt. Mariel and Jeff worked with Ray's Flower Shop to create the garden-inspired floral arrangements that brought the outside in and added a romantic vibe to the details. Kirkbrae Country Club had gorgeous grounds, which is why Mariel and Jeff chose it, and the floral arrangements perfectly complemented the stunning gardens. The couple used a purple, silver and ivory color palette, and Brittany Adams Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. Candles, purple uplighting and chocolate fountains added a luxurious vibe to the indoor reception. One of the best parts was the glamorous crystal and pearl accents that were added to all the floral arrangements. The special attention to detail brought the whole day together for their romantic soiree. A tip from the bride: “The only advice I have is to try to relax and enjoy the planning of your wedding. We did, and we really enjoyed our engagement instead of stressing about all the details.”

Mariel wore a glamorous sparkly crystal hair clip in her curled, half-down hairstyle. Her hair accessory perfectly complemented the David Tutera wedding dress, which she completed with a similar broach on a champagne belt.
The bridesmaids carried lavender roses and plum calla lilies in their lush bouquets. The flowers were accented with round crystals to match the sparkly theme of the wedding. Mariel wanted all the floral arrangements to exude romance, and Ray's Flower Shop did a wonderful job bringing her vision to life.

Wanting to complement the stunning venue, the couple brought the outside in with lush purple and ivory floral arrangements framing the altar.
The ceremony aisle was lined with ivory hydrangeas and lavender roses tied to the white folding chairs with a white satin ribbon. The simple floral arrangements from Ray's Flower Shop added a little romance to the tented ceremony site. They also complemented the giant floral arrangements at the altar.
In addition to traditional ivory rose petals decorating the ceremony aisle, the couple also had rose blossoms lining the walkway. They loved how they added a luxurious feel to the simple, romantic space. Plus, they perfectly complemented the gorgeous grounds at Kirkbrae Country Club and brought the outside in for a lush garden feel.
The bridesmaids wore knee-length, strapless plum dresses for a simple, chic look. The maid of honor wore a lighter purple dress with a black-lace overlay on the top. Mariel loved how her sister’s dress had a silver shimmer to it to bring the silver and purple wedding colors together. The groomsmen wore classic black suits with gray vests and purple ties to match.
