A Glamorous Rustic Wedding at Adams Rib Ranch in Eagle, Colorado
Jessica Jorgensen (29 and in hospitality and real estate) and Kevin Denton (32 and a sales executive) met while Jessica as a waitress at Balata Restaurant in Edwards, Colorado the summer before her senior year of college. At the time, Kevin was living back home for a brief reprieve from trying to get into the Pro Golf Tour, so he spent a lot of time with his family at the local golf club, where Balata is located. He was instantly smitten with Jessica, so he kept coming back for lunch and trying to ask her out. When none of his attempts seemed to work, he got the bartender to set them up with a private golf lesson, where Jessica finally reciprocated his affections. Kevin proposed seven years later at dinner at the Balata, where he gave her the perfect ring--a fancy yellow diamond custom made from a jeweler and friend in Jessica's hometown. They held a fall wedding at Adams Rib Ranch in Eagle, Colorado on a golf course overlooking the Sawatch Mountain Range of the Rocky Mountains. Jessica was inspired by a glamorous, rustic aesthetic with natural wood elements and plenty of succulents with bright bursts of orange (Kevin's favorite color). The wedding party, comprised only of close family members, dressed neutrally in champagne and beige to let the landscape be the central focus. The flower arrangements were varied, including a white peony bridal bouquet, dahlias and hydrangeas in the bridesmaid bouquets, and scabies pods and wheat sprigs in the boutonnieres, along with various succulent and white floral centerpieces. Some of the unique elements of the wedding included Disney love songs at the ceremony, golf putters at the cocktail hour, and lottery ticket wedding favors that read "For richer or poorer." Jessica could not have asked for a more perfect wedding, saying, "If I could take a year's worth of happiness and put it into a jar, it wouldn't even compare to how happy I felt on that one day."
