For their summer wedding, Erin Carraghan (31 and a meeting and event manager) and Jared Krieger (32 and an architect) wanted to mix their glam aesthetic with the natural setting at the Oaks Waterfront Inn in St. Michaels, Maryland. To highlight this contrast, they chose gold (Erin's favorite) as their main color and accented it with black, ivory, pink and other metallics. Adorable succulents in glittery gold holders doubled as wedding favors and escort cards. Low centerpieces of roses, hydrangeas and stock flowers were arranged in gold vases on gold sequined placemats and surrounded by gold votive candles on the white reception tables. Erin's bridal party wore mixed metallic dresses and carried rustic baby's breath bouquets. Erin herself wore a beautiful lace sheath Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, and she wore her hair down in a natural hairstyle. She paired it with an elbow-length veil for her ceremony. Although the ceremony was supposed to take place under an oak tree, the rain got in the way. Instead, Erin and Jared were married on the covered dock at the Oaks Waterfront Inn. "I don't know if it was the personal vows, or the rain hitting the tin roof, or the bursts of belly-deep laughter, or the streams of tears, but the air was electric during that ceremony," Erin says. There were tons of pretty details at Erin and Jared's wedding, but one of our favorites was the modern black, white and gold invitation suite designed by Andrea Penko Design. It featured a gold envelope, a chevron enclosure and a glittery gold belly band, and it coordinated with the rest of the wedding's paper goods. Bonnie Sen Creative was there to capture the day.

The invites were designed by Andrea Penko Design. The modern suite incorporated a gold envelope, a glittery gold belly band, a chevron black-and-white enclosure and pretty stylized fonts.
Jared wore a slim-fit Tommy Hilfiger tuxedo with a black bow tie.

Erin's stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding dress featured beautiful lace details and a keyhole back. The front of the dress also had a knee-high slit. Erin wore her hair down with a crystal hair accessory to accent the natural style.
Although Erin and Jared had originally planned to get married under an oak tree, the rain changed their plans. Instead, they were married on a covered dock by the water. "I don't know if it was the personal vows, or the rain hitting the tin roof, or the bursts of belly-deep laughter, or the streams of tears, but the air was electric during that ceremony," Erin says.
Erin wore a simple, elbow-length veil for her ceremony. The tin roof under which they were married was illuminated with string lights.
In keeping with the glitzy glam theme, the low centerpieces at the reception were arranged in gold vases and surrounded by votive candles in gold holders. Roses, hydrangeas, stock flowers and Queen Anne's lace completed the arrangements. Table numbers were displayed on placards that echoed the modern invitations.
The small succulent wedding favors doubled as escort cards, with little gold-trim signs indicating guests' seating assignments. For a touch of glam, the succulents were potted in glittery gold holders.
The reception was held in the ballroom at Oaks Waterfront Inn, which featured gold chandeliers that perfectly matched the wedding's color palette. Round dining tables were simply set with white linens and arranged with pink cushioned white chiavari chairs.
The menu cards at each seat coordinated with the other paper good at the wedding, featuring the same shimmery gold trim. Centerpieces were arranged on gold sequined placemats, adding some pizzaz to the dining tables.
