A Glamorous, Traditional Wedding at the Village Club at Lake Success in Great Neck, New York

Between the elaborate florals, glam reception decor and whimsical ball gown, this traditional wedding was far from ordinary. “We are very over-the-top people, so we wanted the same for our wedding,” say Lauren Peccerillo (31 and in medicine) and Brendan Coyne (32 and in medicine). The day started with a sweet ceremony in Brendan’s mother’s church. Its vaulted ceilings and curved archways were paired with simple bouquets of pink peonies and white hydrangeas along the altar as Lauren made her entrance. She wore a White by Vera Wang ball gown with floral appliques and ruffled tiers of organza along the voluminous skirt. Its short train flowed over the aisle as she met Brendan by the altar. Once they shared their first kiss, all moved to the Village Club at Lake Success in Great Neck, New York, for a reception where ornate was an understatement. Dalsimer Spitz and Peck designed overflowing arrangements of red roses and delphiniums atop gold candlesticks and a quartet of tall gold candlesticks for each table. Lush red blooms and a halo of roses accented the candles in each centerpiece. Guests took in the view and danced to their live band, the Rhythm Shop, before leaving with our favorite detail: ChapStick. These wedding favors acknowledged the topic of Lauren and Brendan’s first conversation when they met online. “We felt it would be great and really personal to give our guests ChapStick. Silly as it seems, it's what got the ball rolling for us,” Lauren says. Modern Wedding Photography caught every red, gold, blue and pink detail, below.
