A Glamorous Winter Wedding at Knights of Columbus Hall in House Springs, Missouri

Inspired by the romance of Missouri winters, Liz Ortmann (30 and an office manager) and Brad Darby (31 and a executive response specialist) filled their day with cozy plaids, warm candlelight, evergreen garlands and lots of sparkly snowflakes. Shades of gold and white were the perfect mix of chic, glamorous and comfortable—just the look they were going for. Liz and Brad enlisted the help of event planner Allissa Reimer from Style: Altar'd to bring together all the day's details flawlessly. “So glad we hired a wedding planner since we were using a space that needed a lot of setup,” Liz says. “It took a lot of pressure off us so we could enjoy the day.” The day started at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, which was really meaningful to Liz. “I grew up very involved in my family’s church and my parents are still active in the parish,” Liz says. “So it meant a great deal to me to be married in that church, where I have most of my childhood memories.” Since the mid-century style venue was gorgeous on its own, they kept decor to a minimum with just some seasonal pine and candles. The sunlight over the altar added plenty of romance to the space too. The reception at Knights of Columbus in House Springs, Missouri, was equally as stunning with a blank space that Liz and Brad truly transformed to match their vision.
