From the all-white ballroom ceremony and reception to the sparkly rhinestone wedding shoes, everything about Joan Peugh (29 and in consulting and financial advisory) and Jonathan Mayer’s (32 and in real estate) winter wedding at the Park Hyatt Hotel was glamourous. The bridesmaid dresses were silver, the cake was decorated with silver dragees and all of the flowers were white and accented with mirrored vases and floating candles. Mercury glass vases and mossy greenery added unexpected texture to the arrangements. In the ballroom, blue up-lighting and oversized crystal chandeliers just added to their style. "The space was modern and classy and definitely not a boring ballroom," Joan says. Joan looked the part in a ball gown with a rhinestone belt and a simple veil and fur stole while Jon looked classic in a black tuxedo. While the two didn’t hire a wedding planner per se, they worked together with the Park Hyatt to bring their wedding vision to life. Eli Turner Studios photographed the entire day.

"I wanted something 'big'” she says of her Matthew Christopher ball gown. "There was probably about 30 layers of tulle and other types of fabric and I didn't remove any of them!" The gown had a sweetheart neckline and simple bodice that perfectly complemented its ball gown skirt.
Joan carried a simple ivory bridal bouquet made up of roses, calla lilies and stock flowers. The all-white bouquet echoed the monochromatic flower arrangements at the reception. All of the gorgeous floral arrangements at Joan and Jon’s wedding were created by Blue Vanda Designs, a floral design studio based out of Bowie, Maryland.
For the winter wedding, Joan's bridesmaids wore knee-length silver dresses by Alfred Sung from Nordstrom Bridal Shop. White and green bouquets with cymbidium orchids completed the look. At the reception, all of the bridesmaids ditched their matching black heels and changed into sparkly Toms for dancing.

The couple was married in a Jewish ceremony under a crisp white chuppah. To add a bit of glamour to their ballroom ceremony, Joan and Jon had all of the walls draped with white fabric and then illuminated with blue up-lighting. Huge crystal chandeliers hung above the white ceremony aisle that was also lined with floating candles in glass vases.
At the center of the escort card table stood a breathtaking flower arrangement made up of white hydrangeas, green cymbidium orchids, white calla lilies, white roses, viburnum, dusty miller and silver brunia. Floating candles in mercury glass vases added a touch of glam to the table.
The reception table centerpieces looked wintry and glam. Each arrangement was made up of white hydrangeas, roses, orchids, calla lilies, dusty miller and silver brunia and then accented with floating candles and mercury glass.
In addition to the larger flower arrangements, there were smaller centerpieces made up of square, mirrored vases. Each one held a white tulips surrounded with mossy greens.
The white buttercream wedding cake was decorated with scattered silver dragees and displayed on a silver cake stand. A wreath of white orchids, ivory roses, green garden roses and candles finished off the cake table. The best part? Inside, the cake was filled with hazelnut crunch and mocha mousse.
Joan and Jon hired the Bachelor Boys Band for the night. "They're a fantastic 7-piece band that kept the dance floor going all night," Joan says.
