A Glamorous Jewish Beach Wedding at Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida

"We knew we wanted the wedding to be at a beach-type venue, because we love the outdoors and because many of our out-of-town guests were coming from the cold Northeast," says Whitney Elizabeth Valins (30 and a dermatologist). She and Terence Perez Tan (32 and an investment banker) chose the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, Florida, because "it had everything." While Whitney grew up in Tampa, Florida, the two wanted to give their out-of-town guests a true taste of Florida, making the beach setting a must. "Expressing our love under the chuppah, outside in 70-degree weather in Clearwater in May, surrounded by our closest friends and family, we really couldn't have asked for more. It was perfect," Whitney says. Their elegant and colorful day (think golds, creams, peaches and corals) was everything they'd hoped for. "We had a black-tie affair, but we still wanted it to be playful and fun," she says. Entertainment included a live band, a photo booth and a DJ-led after-party. Judging by the smiles on Whitney, Terry and their guests' faces, good times were had by all. —Ginger Harris
