Kaveri Arora (31 and a lawyer) and Michael Turner (32 and a lawyer) had a beautiful springtime interfaith wedding at the Philadelphia Horticultural Center in Fairmount Park. Since Kaveri is Hindu and Michael is Jewish, the couple incorporated both traditions by having two ceremonies at their celebration. They began the day with a Hindu ceremony, which took place under a mandap, which was draped with gold linens and decorated with garlands of red carnations. For this part of a wedding, Kaveri wore a stunning red and royal blue sari with gold embroidery, while Michael dressed in a traditional Indian sherwani. Kaveri's bridesmaids complemented her in royal blue saris with gold trim. For the following Jewish ceremony, which took place under a white huppah, Kaveri chose a classic ball gown with Indian polki jewelry, and Michael sported a tuxedo and bow tie. Kaveri and Michael had a modern, metallic-accented reception in the Horticultural Center's greenhouse. Dining tables were covered in metallic tablecloths, and centerpieces of silver treelike structures and silver lanterns adorned the room. For the reception, Kaveri changed into a beautiful teal green and coral sari that was perfect for dancing the night away with her friends, family and new husband.
