The nontraditional couple used a romantic color scheme of blush, red, ivory, lots of glittery gold details and touches of silver for their unique, vintage-inspired affair

Julia chose a blush, A-line gown with a beaded bodice and sweetheart neckline. The skirt had about seven layers of ivory and blush organza that gave it a very floaty, ethereal feel, she says.
The couple's first dance song was Never Tear Us Apart by INXS. The lyrics are so beautiful and the strings in the arrangement make it feel very dramatic and romantic, says Julia.
Julie wanted her bouquet to be a huge spray of rich red flowers dripping with amaranthus and her florist certainly delivered! The result was a bold combination of garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas, astilbe and celosia, with plenty of amaranthus adding texture.
Julia asked each of her eight bridesmaids to select a short, blush pink dress in whatever style made her feel most comfortable. The groomsmen wore their own black, two-piece suits with matching slim red ties from J.Crew.
Pink escort cards waited at a table decorated with found objects in metallic colors.
Guests could leave cards inside a cubby made from antique cigar boxes.
The couple served cupcakes to guests, but cut into a vegan, beet-based cake with sweet beet frosting and topped with a custom ceramic topper.
Clusters of vintage vases and mason jars filled with ivory, blush, red and burgundy blooms topped the reception tables.
Julia's stylist gave her a romantic half-updo that was low-maintenance. After the ceremony, she replaced her veil with a floral and crystal flower comb.
The couple's niece, Maggie, was the flower girl and tossed glitter-covered rose petals as she made her way down the aisle.
The joyful couple made their way up the aisle to a somewhat nontraditional tune: Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen. Everyone jumped up and started cheering, says Julia. It was a perfect moment.
Julia found her shoes and Nordstrom Rack and used a DIY tutorial she found online to cover them in silver glitter for a glam touch.
A quaint outdoor shed at the far end of the grounds made for a lovely altar area. A few floral pieces on the columns added a bit of interest to the area without detracting from the natural beauty of the landscape.
“The welcome table was one of the most beautiful pieces of wedding décor I’ve ever seen!” Julia says of the antique bureau with old wooden cubbies for cards that greeted guests at the reception.
White feathers, dipped in gold glitter, were tucked into the napkins that rested atop gold chargers.
