Amy and John accomplished a sophisticated-yet-relaxed vibe for their garden affair.

Tall centerpieces topped some of the guest tables, and were filled with lacy white blooms like baby's breath and bridal veil.
The couple chose a very nontraditional song for their first dance: Hey HO from the Lumineers. I still listen to it all the time and have it as my ringtone for John now, says Amy.
Passed hors d'oeuvres like grilled bruschetta and crab cakes were a hit with guests during cocktail hour.
The table numbers were painted on wooden blocks that the bride purchased on etsy.com.
“I wanted my reception to be more casual than a ballroom wedding, but it was also my wedding day, so I wanted it to be special,” explains Amy. “For colors, I went with blushes with a hint of shimmer and golds, because every girl needs a little sparkle on her wedding day!”
The bride carried pink, peach and white roses, stock, calla lilies and dusty miller.
The men's boutonnieres were a masculine combination of hypericum berries and dusty miller.
The flower girl wore an adorable white tulle gown that Amy found on etsy.com.
Each bridesmaid carried a green and white arrangement of hydrangeas, hypericum berries, calla lilies and dusty miller.
Amy worked with a local designer and seamstress to create her one-of-a-kind gown. I wanted something romantic and airy, light and beautiful, she says. I was absolutely in love with my gown!
Amy created her own programs and printed everything on an off-white card stock. Small bows at the top added interest.
Realistic-looking, edible sugar flowers topped the five-tier wedding cake. Inside, strawberry and almond cake was separated by rich buttercream frosting.
Amy let her seven bridesmaids choose their own dresses. I guided them on color and then let them do their own thing, she says. I loved how it turned out!
