A Historical Hotel Wedding at Hyatt Arcade in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio

Samantha Schabel (29, a pharmacist) and David Schabel (28, software project manager) met during a high school Super Bowl party held at the Bay Presbyterian Church, which they both belonged to. They had been dating when David and Samantha went to Ferrante winery in Ashtabula, Ohio for the day. They spent the day tasting fine wine, looking through a history book of the winery and paying trivia games while David’s photography friend was on his way to capture the proposal that was about to happen. As the couple stepped outside to the patio overlooking the vineyards, David got down on one knee and proposed. The couple was married at their church where they first met, which is an open sanctuary filtering in natural light. Samantha wore an ivory wedding dress from the Blu line designed by Mori Lee. It had a sweetheart neckline and a jeweled belt, with a long train with buttons. The couple envisioned a classic and elegant wedding, which was brought to life during the reception at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Cleveland through a shimmery palette of gold, silver and champagne combined with neutral colors of ivory and pinks. Tall and short silver candelabras on reception tables contained Italian ruscus, bells of Ireland, hydrangeas and roses, and table numbers had pictures of the bride and groom at the ages that matched the number. The couple made sure to go around to each table and take a group photo, along with providing wedding favor cookies and a photo booth to create memories with those who meant the most.
