The Bride Erin Dawood, 29, a cytotechnologist at Abington Memorial Hospital The Groom Jon-Christopher Ecker, 32, a student at Medical College of Wisconsin The Date May 12 Erin and Chris chose to have an intimate outdoor wedding because they both love being outside in spring and find all the blooming flowers naturally romantic. They felt like a wedding based on simple organic elegance fit their personalities best.

Handmade tags attached to honey dippers served as escort cards, and paired with the local honey favors awaiting guests at their seats.
The groom’s boutonniere featured grape hyacinths and fiddleheads. The couple went with a loose color scheme of gray and yellow, with complements of purple.
The bride chose floral Dodo Le Parisienne ballet flats, which were a cute and practical choice for the outdoor ceremony.
The bride chose to go with minimal decorations, such as these delicate paper rosettes, so as not to distract from the beautiful views from the rotunda, where the reception was held.
The first items purchased for the wedding were the West Elm honeycomb vases for the centerpieces. The bride told the florist she wanted full arrangements, overflowing with spring flowers.
The bride made the table numbers using silk-screened fine paper and simple white frames.
The bride designed and created the wedding invitation suite, which featured hand-drawn illustrations of the bride and groom.
The three-tiered cake, with handmade bride and groom paper dolls as cake toppers, was covered in buttercream and accented with purple flowers.
In addition to the cake, French macarons were served. The confections were a must-have for the bride and proved a crowd favorite.
The simple grass aisle was decorated with vases of blooming branches, ferns and peonies.
The bride opted for a floral fascinator from Twigs & Honey in lieu of a veil. The pearls she wore are vintage, passed down from her great-grandmother.
The couple had their first dance in the middle of the rotunda, with its beautiful striped ceilings.
