A Lush, Vibrant Wedding at DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, Massachusetts
Without a particular theme in mind, Sabrina Chau (28 and a retail manager) and Dan Scudder (28 and a business development professional) let their day evolve organically around their unique venue nestled in the woods of Lincoln, Massachusetts: DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park. Jim Dine's famous sculpture, 'Two Big Black Hearts,' which resides on the property, inspired the day's heart motif, which was given a whimsical twist by Sabrina and Dan's stationer, who replicated the sculpture in string on the couple's invites. As for colors, Sabrina says their palette picked itself! Bright shades of pink and orange popped against the lush, wooded backdrop and fit with the day's vibrant, eclectic vibe. "I let one decision lead me to another since I never had a 'big picture' plan," explains Sabrina. In the end, everything came together even more beautifully than either of them could imagine. With stunning floral arrangements, DIY touches and personal details like a Chinese tea ceremony during the reception (a nod to Sabrina's roots) and a ketubah hand-crocheted by Dan's great aunt, it's safe to call Sabrina and Dan's wedding a work of art.
