Because their wedding took place on the Fourth of July, Lisa Suchy (26 and a teacher) and Will Magnuson (26 and a director of sales) wanted to pay homage to the United States on their wedding day. "I wanted to celebrate the holiday, but I didn't want the entire color palette to be red, white, and blue," Lisa says. Instead, the couple chose navy, peach and gold as their wedding colors to echo the traditional patriotic color scheme. These hues looked beautiful in the Gold Coast Room at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, where the couple hosted their reception. The venue's ornate marble pillars and crystal chandeliers set the tone for Lisa and Will's gorgeous decor. Some dining tables at the reception featured tall arrangements of peach and white gladiolus, while others had crystal candelabras with floating candles that cast a warm glow on the festivities. Lisa says it was special to know that all the people around her supported her on her wedding day. "Having my mom, sister, sister-in-law, future sisters-in-law, mother-in-law and my best friends with me as I got ready the morning of our wedding day made feel overwhelmed with love," she says. "They helped me stay calm and relaxed because I knew they would support Will and me as we begin our lives together." Gerber Scarpelli Photography captured the day.

Lisa carried an all-white bouquet with roses that was wrapped in white lace. The bouquet included pearl strands as accents.
Lisa's bridesmaids wore navy floor-length dresses with different Amsale necklines. "I chose navy blue in honor of the Fourth of July and because it is one of my favorite colors," Lisa says. The bridesmaids carried pink garden rose bouquets with their dresses.
Lisa wore a strapless, A-line Pronovias wedding dress in lace. She added a crystal belt and wore an embellished headband in her hair to add a bit of sparkle to her look. She also wore a long veil for her ceremony. Will wore a tuxedo with a white jacket, a black vest and a black tie.
Escort cards at the reception were displayed on a round table. At the center of the table were votive candles, floating candles and a tall arrangement of white hydrangeas and white roses.
