For Woo Jin Jang (28 and a real estate broker) and Kyung Ae Baek (35 and a consultant), their future felt certain from very early on. “It was love at first sight,” says Woo Jin, who accepted Kyung’s proposal after five years together. The two were equally certain about wanting a sophisticated aesthetic at their outdoor garden wedding for 100 guests at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California; champagne gold and soft ivory complemented the abundant greenery. “The place was so ethereal," Woo Jin says. "It reminded us of Rivendell in 'Lord of the Rings.' " Floral creations combined elegant white blossoms with garden-fresh details that honored the lush landscape; bouquets, hanging arrangements at the ceremony and centerpieces at the reception featured white tulips and roses with verdant green accents of eucalyptus and herbs. Both big music fans, Woo Jin and Kyung had a live singer for their cocktail hour and a high-energy DJ for their reception, where they also demonstrated their tango skills on the dance floor. In addition to a cake, Woo Jin and Kyung had cupcakes and chocolate-dipped fruit. “We had a dessert bar instead of a cigar bar, since we felt our guests would enjoy desserts more than cigars and cocktails,” says Woo Jin, who recommends pausing occasionally to absorb the day. “The day goes by so quickly. You may not even have the time or ability to see all the effort put into the day—so invest in a great photographer and videographer.” —Carolyn Meers

"I picked and designed my own ring," Woo Jin says. "It is a diamond ring with little diamonds layered in white gold." Woo Jin's and Kyung's rings were carried down the aisle in this wooden box—perfect for the garden setting.

"The bridesmaids were wearing champagne-gold strapless dresses. They were gorgeous," Woo Jin says. These subtle warm gold tones fit well with the greenery-rich bouquets. The groomsmen sported traditional tuxedos and gold bow ties.
Woo Jin and Kyung exchanged vows under a large wooden arbor in front of a stone wall with a waterfall. Complementing the ceremony's lush setting were several hanging floral arrangements made with white peonies, roses and greenery such as eucalyptus.

On their way from the ceremony to the reception, guests plucked their handcrafted escort card from a line of twine strung between tree branches.
In addition to raised gold-stemmed flower arrangements made with white roses, peonies and eucalyptus, each table was set with vintage green glassware and brassy candleholders.
