A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding at San Diego Museum of Art in San Diego, California

Sarah Lewis (34 and a lawyer) and George Gedulin (30 and a lawyer) describe their vision for their wedding day as A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets Night at the Museum. They held their ceremony and reception at San Diego Museum of Art in San Diego, California, because it reflected his love of travel, her love of literature and mythology, with just the right amount of formality—something different from a typical San Diego beach wedding. Sarah and George were married in a stunning al fresco ceremony on the museum's grounds, and they later met their guests inside for dinner and dancing. "Neither George nor I is religious, so we didn't want to be married at a church," Sarah says. "The museum and its large spaces and dynamic feeling were the perfect setting for a formal summer wedding." From there, the couple worked with their planner to bring their enchanting Midsummer Night’s Dream aesthetic to life, which they pulled off with lush greenery, soft pastels and stunning floral arrangements that included fresh fruit and vintage bell jars. —Meghan Overdeep
