An Elegant Beach Wedding at Gurney's Montauk in New York
Brittany Russell and Marat Goldenberg hosted a nautical wedding with city vibes. "We wanted to somehow take NYC to the beach," Brittany says. "We went with modern and minimalist flowers and accents to create a city-beach-chic vibe. The color palette blended sandy neutral tones, classic whites and greens with a pop of color here and there." An elegant invitation suite introduced guests to the ceremony, which took place overlooking the ocean. Monstera leaves and white anthurium lined the aisle, while string lights hung above the space. "We had both a monsignor and a cantor, as Marat is Jewish and I am Catholic," Brittany says. "It was a very peaceful ceremony where we exchanged our own vows and did the circling Jewish tradition, along with the breaking of the glass and exchanging rings. We combined the two religious ceremonies together to form something that fit for our relationship and families." The reception was inside Gurney's Montauk, and everything from the table linens to the chairs was modern white. On the head table, bright blue hydrangeas and pink anthurium with clear acrylic stands added some color. "When we found the black-and-white dance floor, we made that our statement piece," Brittany says. "We also didn't want any designated breaks for eating, so we had a station-style wedding with assistance serving but not a formal plated dinner service—almost like a floating cocktail hour wedding but with assigned seating for guests." Pink signature drinks and a tiered white wedding cake ended the night on a sweet note.
