Nichole Washington (29, a photographer) Nick Low-Beer (31, a music producer) met at a club in New York City. "It was bhangra night and we were both dancing non stop," says Nichole. "Eventually we began to dance together and spent the rest of the night talking and dancing. Nick got my info a few days later from a mutual friend and asked me out. We still go dancing together all the time!" As soon as they got engaged, the outdoorsy couple knew they wanted to get married in his dad's lush, sweeping backyard in Greenwich, Connecticut. A modern, color palette of purples and blues with pops of yellow were a stylish addition to the tented affair, but nothing could top Nichole's dramatic mermaid wedding dress designed by Rivini. Finished with a chunky gold cuff necklace and a bold birdcage fascinator, Nichole easily stole the show.

"I wanted to look elegant but also stylish and modern," Nichole says of her day-of look. She accessorized her ruffled Rivini mermaid gown with chunky gold jewelry and a birdcage veil.
Nichole held a textured bouquet of silver brunia, scabiosa and white garden roses.
Gray Tuxedo with High Top Sneakers
"Nick wore a tuxedo with sneakers—he's a sneaker head so there was no avoiding it," Nichole recalls of her groom's choice of attire.
Blue flower crowns added an ethereal touch to the flower girl's tulle ballerina dresses.
The couple celebrated their wedding in the backyard of Nick's dad's house in Greenwich, Connecticut. "The yard is very spacious with lots of trees and flowers," says Nichole. "Nick and I both love being outdoors and as soon as we got engaged we knew the wedding would be there."
