A Modern Garden Wedding at RedLine in Denver, Colorado

Wanting to take their overgrown garden theme to the next level, Rachel Holloway (28 and a florist and event coordinator) and Keith Strand (28 and a lab technician) paired textured florals with modern details for an ultra-chic wedding. Caitlin Tasca from Vintage Magnolia created all the stunning arrangements, including roses, poppies and clematis complete with lots of leafy greens. “I love greenery,” Rachel says. “As someone who works in the floral industry, I can speak to the importance of using greens to transform the look and add layers of texture to each arrangement. There was so much dimension in the florals. Gah—they were pretty!” Wanting a modern backdrop that would set the tone for their overgrown garden-inspired wedding, the couple chose RedLine in Denver, Colorado. “We held our wedding ceremony and reception at RedLine, a local nonprofit art gallery in our neighborhood,” Rachel says. “We honestly chose this space because we walk our dog, Olive, by the gallery often and we always loved the hanging-light installation over the outdoor patio. The space was so modern and clean. It really became the perfect showcase for our gorgeous florals.” Creating some of their own art, the couple made their alternative wedding arch out of smilax vines cascading down a blank wall—an idea we love! Wedding planner Brittney Morris worked with Rachel and Keith to ensure their modern garden seamlessly popped throughout the details. That's when everyone gets to do what they love and create exciting new things.”
