Leigh carried a bouquet made of cream peonies and dusty miller.
“I knew that I didn’t want classic folding cards,” Leigh recalls of the escort card display. Instead, they used a custom board covered in birch wood that created a “rustic winery feel.” Individual black tags finished the look.
Stylish Black Wedding Party Attire
The couple had a custom black-andwhite dance floor made for the reception. Their first dance was to “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison.
The four-tier white buttercream cake was finished with a large, loose bow on one side.

New York City natives Leigh and Micah, who dated for more than 13 years before getting engaged, wanted a wedding space that had a sense of local history. “Cipriani 42nd Street was a great, iconic New York venue,” Leigh says. She and Micah used décor and lighting to create a “cozy, romantic and chic vibe” for the reception.

Modern, striped linens lined the reception tables. “Each place setting had a black-and white charger and was accented with a crisp white hemstitch napkin and a personalized black and white menu card,” Leigh says.
“The ceremony felt like a secret garden with a lot of greenery and natural wood,” Leigh notes. She and Micah were married under a birch wood huppah.

Several tables at the reception were topped with small floral arrangements, votive candles and glass table lamps, which made the space look “unique and more like an intimate dinner party meets supper club.”
