A Modern-Glam Indian Wedding at Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York
Inspired by Parrish Art Museum’s modern-industrial vibe, Nimi Idnani (29 and an executive recruiter) and Rushabh Patel (30 and a business owner) invited guests to dine at tables set with copper flatware and flanked by acrylic chairs. POBSavory fare made the 350-person fete an affair to remember. Guests noshed on lobster bouillabaisse with curried crostini and pepper-crusted lamb before taking sips from a custom whiskey bar. “Everyone still raves about the menu,” Nimi says. For the reception, Rushabh swapped his beige silk sherwani for a midnight-blue tuxedo, while Nimi changed into a beaded sheath. Simple white runners topped wood farm tables, which lined the length of the reception space. In lieu of lush flower arrangements, single-stem blooms and succulents dotted the alfresco venue. “We cut into a cake, but saved it to eat with family the next day,” Nimi says of ending the weekend on a sweet note.
