A Modern, Luxe Wedding at the Atrium at Curtis Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
We loved this luxe Philadelphia wedding! Christina Viscusi (27 and a recruiter) and Evan Thomas (27 and an analyst) had a glamorous celebration at the Atrium at Curtis Center in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "The stunning marble floors and 13-story atrium were huge selling points for us," Christina says. "The venue is historical yet modern, and it was the perfect fit for the size and feel of our wedding." They had their ceremony and reception in the same location. To decorate the space, Christina and Evan chose a chic, contemporary wedding style and a palette of lavender, light blue, silver and ivory. The ceremony was set up with rows of black chiavari chairs along an aisle that was lined with purple ombre rose petals. At the end of the aisle, two large, tree-like arrangements flanked the altar area, with garlands of white orchids hanging from their branches. These were echoed in the centerpieces at the reception, which featured tall arrangements of ivory, green and purple orchids. The reception tables were covered in textured silver linens, and the walls of the space were draped in sheer white linens to add a romantic, whimsical visual effect. After a dinner catered by the Cescaphe Group, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a pretty purple ombre wedding cake. "While the dessert options were limitless, most people couldn’t peel themselves away from the dance floor to enjoy the treats," Christina says. The Remixologists provided the music for the night. Christina and Evan entered the reception to "Levels" by Avicii, and an explosion of rose petals greeted them as they danced for the first time as husband and wife.
