Since the event space at The Guild is big and open, Maggie Field (28 and a manager of training at Houlihan’s Restaurant Inc.) and Chance Moore (28 and a personal trainer) had a blank canvas to create their vision. “Choosing The Guild was almost a no-brainer—the space is absolutely gorgeous!” Maggie says. “The wood ceremony space, exposed brick, concrete floors, stunning chandelier and white subway tile fit perfectly with my rustic-modern vision for the day.” With the help of wedding planner Holly Davidson at Simple Elegance, Maggie and Chance paired their favorite color (orange) with rustic wood details and organic hues. Since orange is such a bright and bold color, they decided the best way to use it throughout the wedding would be in the flowers, which was the perfect choice! Raenelle Gardner from Floral Expressions by Raenelle create lush floral arrangements that added an eclectic and modern look into the details. One of our favorite parts was the ultra-personalization, which really showed up in the music when Maggie and Chance took their first steps as husband and wife to “Good Life” by Kanye West and T-Pain as well as the Dean Martin “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” first dance! There are so many details we love! See them all, beautifully captured by Jessica Roark at epagaFOTO, below! Maggie advises future couples to choose vendors they “mesh well with.” “We thought if we surrounded ourselves with awesome people the day would turn out exactly as we wanted, and that’s exactly what happened!”

Maggie completed her look with peep-toe Kate Spade heels. She loved the classic bow on the toe! “They were a little bit of a splurge considering they’re hidden the entire day, but I could not resist,” she says. “Surprisingly enough, they were super comfortable!"

The bridesmaids all wore gray Amsale dresses in whatever style they liked. They completed their look with custom Kendra Scott earrings and blush shoes. “It was so important to me that they felt comfortable and beautiful on the day,” Maggie says.
The junior bridesmaids wore sparkly silver dresses from Nordstrom. Maggie and Chance wanted to find dresses that were age appropriate and not too little girl-feeling. The dresses they chose had cream chiffon skirts with a silver bow around the waist and a sparkly bodice.
The first big decision Maggie and Chance made was where their wedding would be. “Choosing The Guild was almost a no-brainer—the space is absolutely gorgeous!” Maggie says. “The wood ceremony space, exposed brick, concrete floors, stunning chandelier and white subway tile fit perfectly with my rustic-modern vision for the day.”
The groomsmen wore gray suits from Bachrach. They completed their look with thin black ties, white pocket squares and black-and-white checkered socks. Chance wore a perfectly tailored Hugo Boss slim fit black suit from Nordstrom with a white button down. He also wore black Cole Haan Shoes, a white linen pocket square and black and white check socks from Sock 101.

Since the event space at The Guild is big and open, the couple had a blank canvas to create their vision. They combined a distressed wood table with smaller round tables covered in crisp linens and alternated tall, lush centerpieces with shorter, more minimal ones for a modern, eclectic look.
All of the stationery was custom designed by Allie Statler. Maggie and Chance didn’t want all of the stationery to completely match, but loved the look of one common font to tie everything together. The menu cards were printed in a sans serif font with a bold cursive typography for the word menu.
Guests started the reception dinner with a spring green salad topped with roasted vegetables, feta and crispy onion straws. It was followed by marsala glazed chicken breast with roasted pimento or dijon crusted cider marinated pork loin paired with mashed potatoes, lemon and herb green beans and bacon and scallion roasted brussels sprouts. Yum!
For dessert, Maggie and Chance served wedding cake, vanilla cream tarts with fresh berries, lemon bars, macrons, chocolate chip cookies and candied bacon.
