The Bride Katie Dellecker, 26, a title agent for Dale Property Services LLC The Groom Walker Simmons, 28, a recruiter for Learfield Sports Communications The Date April 10 Inspired by the season and their location (the backyard of Katie’s childhood home), Katie and Walker used a spring-y green, white and ivory color palette to plan an “informally elegant” wedding.

Katie’s mother and a family friend designed the simple programs with a green monogram on the cover.
The two flower girls wore dupioni silk dresses with organza sashes and carried lily of the valley bouquets.
Canopied couches and plush pillows gave guests a cozy space to rest during dance breaks.
Katie and Walker hired a lighting expert to give the yard a romantic ambience and glow with uplighting, spotlights and hanging lanterns.
Though they’re Dallas residents, the couple chose Katie’s parents’ backyard to give guests a vacation-worthy destination.
The bridesmaids carried peonies, parrot tulips, viburnum and garden roses.
A live band performed Motown hits all night; the couple’s first-dance song: “At Last” by Etta James.
The simple buttercream cake was topped off with garden roses and displayed on a round mosaic table.
Tall phalaenopsis orchids dotted the burlap runners on the banquet tables.
Mini sugar cones of gelato were passed around inside a cigar box later in the evening.
At the end of the night, guests lit sparklers and waved off the newlyweds.
A wreath of fresh white carnations hung on Katie’s parents’ front door.
