The Bride Katie Marchand, 27, an interior designer at Schneider Halls Design The Groom David Walker, 31, a project manager at West Ridge Construction The Date May 21 Katie and David gathered inspiration from a few different textiles: a preppy seersucker, a paisley shower curtain and a summery striped fabric. Taking a cue from these casual materials, they strove for an easygoing look that suited the ranch venue. That was important to me-to not have it look too done-up, Katie says.

Comfortable beds were the ultimate way to create a laid-back mood during the reception.

For a more casual look than one big cake, Katie and David served three small, simply decorated confections. One of them was marked with the couple's monogram.
Guests took home mini jars of homemade barbeque rub topped with striped fabric.
Green hydrangeas and fluffy white peonies gave Katie's bouquet a fresh-from-the-garden look.
Hanging moss monograms incorporated the venue's rustic outdoor vibe.
