A Modern Rooftop Wedding at The Ramble Hotel in Denver, Colorado
Monica and Andy Ward tied the knot at The Ramble Hotel, a 50-room boutique hotel with elegant decorations and a deep color palette. "We were engaged in Tuscany, and that trip served as the inspiration for our wedding," Monica says. "While in Italy, we enjoyed long leisurely meals with family, incredible cuisine, bottomless wine and an indescribable atmosphere of joy and peace. We wanted to create that kind of space and time." The intimate “cocktail-in-hand”ceremony took place on the hotel's rooftop with white folding chairs, lounge furniture and a sound system. Warm bistro lighting and a "Wish You Were Here" sign behind the altar added minimalist décor. The family-style seated meal was inside the elegant hotel, and the couple decorated with wood tables, cross-back chairs and DIY arrangements of tulips and chamomile designed the morning before the wedding. "To create an even more inviting space, we curated aromatic candles, and the scent was part of the greeting as guests entered the dining room," Monica says. She donned a timeless long-sleeve white gown, to which she added cuffs with buttons. Andy was outfitted in a cream-colored linen suit with a plaid vest and green pocket square.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: "We chose the date of a full moon because throughout our relationship, something unique and out of the ordinary has always taken place on a full moon, so this special occurrence was important to incorporate," Monica says.
