A Modern, Rustic Wedding at Berkeley Fieldhouse in Toronto, Ontario

Sophie McNabb (26 and an art director) and Jaz Spergel (29 and a project manager) met at summer camp and had been together for seven years when he surprised her with a ring in their living room. "We've truly built our lives together and grown with each other over the years," Sophie says. "Our engagement was perfect. It was just the two of us, which made it really special." When it came time to plan their wedding, they fell in love with Berkeley Fieldhouse in Toronto, Ontario, as soon as they saw it, and didn’t look anywhere else. "It had exactly the vibe we wanted for their casual summer wedding: gorgeous high ceilings and a lofty industrial feel, contrasted with the beautiful courtyard and greenery outside," Sophie says. "A little oasis in the city!" Because their venue was already beautiful, Sophie and Jaz went with simple, minimalistic decor with a bit of a rustic touch and plenty of thoughtful, personal details. Pink, white and peach peonies (Sophie's favorite), garden roses, spray roses and greenery added just the right amount of color. A custom illustration of the couple and their dog on the invitations set the tone for the personalized day and even reappeared on the wedding cake. Although there were many highlights, Sophie and Jaz's first dance to "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim unexpectedly got every guest—young and old—onto the dance floor and kicked off one amazing dance party. —Meghan Overdeep
