A Modern Wedding at Centennial Barn in Cincinnati, Ohio
Emma Chermely (26 and a pharmacist) and Casey Reed (27 and a physician) fell in love with the historic St. Clare Chapel and the Centennial Barn in Cincinnati, Ohio, which created a beautiful contrast for their modern-styled wedding. "The chapel and barn are on the grounds of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor and were built in the late 1800s," Emma says. "We chose this location because we liked the historical significance and the unique venue space." Emma and Casey based their wedding decor on the contemporary style that accented their own home—from the sleek white dining tables with matching chiavari chairs to the modern black-and-white cake. The bridal bouquet had a combination of succulents mixed with purple blooms, to go with the flower arrangements that decorated the dining tables. Guests enjoyed playing yard games of Jenga and corn hole outside on the lovely autumn day. As guests took their seats, each found a simple menu card on top of a charcoal napkin. Although we loved the modern touches that made up the day, Emma's classic ivory dress, accented with lace and designed by Hayley Paige, is what took our breath away.
