A Multicultural Wedding at Embassy Suites Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center in Greenville, South Carolina

Wanting to incorporate both of their cultures, Indian and Western, into their wedding, Sarah Desai (30 and a physician assistant) and Rahul Desai (28 and a physician assistant) had two ceremonies. The day started with a traditional Hindu ceremony outside before lunch, and then Sarah and Rahul had a Christian ceremony in the gardens before the upbeat dance party in the ballroom. The Embassy Suites Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center in Greenville, South Carolina, was an easy choice for the couple because it could accommodate their 300 guests with enough space for two ceremonies, a cocktail hour and the reception, not to mention it had stunning spaces for photos. All the events flawlessly came together with the help of wedding planner Jennifer Dennis from Love This Little City. “The decorator did an amazing job with the whole wedding, and we actually gave her pretty much free rein to do what she thought was best,” Sarah says. For the western ceremony, Sarah knew she wanted white calla lilies (her favorite!) and paired them with roses for a classic touch. Another standout detail? The delicious menu! Sarah and Rahul incorporated both of their cultures into dinner as well, with an Indian and American buffet.
