Jessica Couillard (30 and a wealth planner) and Greg Theroux (28 and a business owner) wanted their theme and decor to fit in with the area in Nelson, British Columbia. "A lot of our ideas came from things you might find on the forest floor," Jessica says. In fact, the location of the wedding, at Blaylock Mansion, overlooking Kootenay Lake, and the natural theme and decor were also inspired by Greg's romantic proposal to Jessica in the forest next to Kootenay Lake (surrounded by a circle of candles!). The couple exchanged vows outdoors in the garden, in front of a custom-made arbor made by Greg's father, followed by a tented reception lined with white lights and hanging terrariums with candles, with lush flowers displayed in wooden boxes for the centerpiece arrangements.
