This destination wedding on the island of Maui, Hawaii, stayed loyal to its natural, tropical surroundings. The romantic ceremony of Veronica Rodngues (28 and a senior loan officer) and Anthony Aires (35 and a senior loan officer) took place underneath lush palm trees overlooking Kaanapali Beach, where the classic reception was held close to the sand on a nearby private cabana. From the little details, like the pineapple-lined aisle decorated with sand and flower petals, to the larger ones, such as the Hawaiian menu of kula greens, mango ribs and kalua pork with pineapple fried rice, the tropical theme never left the minds of guests. Dellables floral designer made sure to provide pops of color for the pink palette, and MeewMeew Studios captured the whole affair. In our opinion, the simple dessert spread embodied the natural vibe of the island wedding that day. “We served a strawberry lemonade cake with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting,” Veronica says. “The cake was simple and had a choppy texture and peachy flowers on top. It was all displayed on a wood bench with the cupcakes in vintage two-tiered baskets with pineapples around it.”

"I stopped in at this bridal shower randomly during the week and found THE ONE," Veronica says. "It had lace and was tight-fitting with an open back that had beading falling down the back."
"We all went shopping together for the bridesmaid dresses, which we kept simple," Veronica says. "We set out for a coral-color summer dress, and each of them had their own unique style to it. It all came together perfectly!"
"The girls' flowers were peach and coral flowers with white," Veronica says. "Each of their bouquets had a meaningful charm that we put on together before the wedding."
The wedding arch was built with bamboo stakes and wrapped with white linens.
The ceremony aisle was lined with full pineapples along with small, simple flower arrangements. The middle of the aisle was sprinkled with petals and the natural sand.
Veronica and Anthony shared their first kiss together at the ceremony on the beach.
Right after the ceremony, the couple and their guests toasted to their marriage with champagne accented with strawberries.
An ivory wedding cake filled with strawberry lemonade flavoring was served on a simple white cake stand. Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were assorted on two wood tiers.
