Kirsten Thomas (36, in biotech marketing) and Matt Smith (38, also in biotech marketing) knew each other just as co-workers until one business trip that led to a midnight walk on the beach in Miami, Florida. Once they had returned to where they worked in San Francisco, Matt asked Kirstin out on their first date, and two years later, proposed during a quiet weekend trip to the Russian River in California. The couple held their wedding at Arista Winery in Sonoma County, California because of their love for the area and the naturally beautiful property. The decor embellished in navy, gray and coral accents had rustic and natural elements, from the bouquets that had freshly picked flowers from the meadow to the wedding invitations that were printed on wood. At the reception, guests were treated to ahi tartare in crispy cones and mahogany lacquered duck on sweet potato pancakes. After dinner was finished, fire pits were lit for S'more making activities and small snacks were served, such as mini corn dogs and cheeseburgers. It was a day that reflected the couple perfectly at one of their favorite locations with food, wine and loved ones.

"The wedding took place at Arista Winery in Sonoma County," says Kristin. "We chose the location because we love Sonoma andrnwine country, and the property at Arista is simply gorgeous. We didn't need to add much to the scenery, we could just let the natural beauty of the setting come through."
