Madeline Brumfield (25 and a physical therapist) and Joe Powell (27 and a field service manager) knew they wanted to have a destination wedding, and South Carolina, with its romantic Southern charm, was an obvious choice. Wanting the perfect mix of seaside vacation and elegant romance, Madeline and Joe chose Rose Hill Mansion in Bluffton, South Carolina, and accented the space with a bold pink and teal palette. “We knew we wanted to have bold, bright colors throughout the wedding and reception,” Madeline says. “The feel we were going for was elegant charm, yet we still wanted to draw on the Southern elements the location provided.” Seashells painted gold were paired with stunning hibiscus and rose florals from A Floral Affair to bring their style to life. Since Madeline and Joe were planning their wedding from 10 hours away, they enlisted the help of Jennifer Leiti from Embellished Events to ensure all the details came together on the island. “All my vendors were absolutely fantastic,” Madeline says. “They were all so accommodating and helpful throughout the whole planning process, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.” See all our favorite details from this bold wedding, beautifully captured by Hopkins Studios, below.

Madeline knew she wanted some pops of color in her bouquet that really matched her bold palette, but she also wanted more traditional ivory flowers to be mixed in. “Dawn at A Floral Affair was able to take what I liked to develop a bouquet that was absolutely stunning,” Madeline says of her spider mum, rose, silver brunia ball, ranunculus and dusty miller bouquet.
