This modern-style wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club in San Diego, California, was shaped by the black, white and pink palette—a romantic combination for a day of romance. Alicia Umpierre (29 and a scientist) and Justin Umpierre (30 and a nonprofit manager) chose the venue not just because they wanted the ceremony and reception at the same location, but also for the surrounding landscape that naturally took care of its own decorations. Alicia and Justin were married on the lawn outside, right at the classic white gazebo decorated with a pink flower-frenzied arrangement. Alicia walked down the aisle sporting a vintage look with her birdcage veil, plus her ivory strapless wedding dress accented with lace. She held a fuchsia bridal bouquet filled with roses and calla lilies, which resembled the centerpieces that decorated dining tables inside the country club's banquet hall.
