A Plaid Mountain Wedding at Beano’s Cabin in Avon, Colorado

Inspired by the natural shades of red, brown and green filling their rustic mountain venue, Stacey Baraya (33 and a national security account manager) and Eric DiRuzzo (35 and a sales executive) decided to work with the bold interior of Beano’s Cabin in Avon, Colorado, to really play up the uniqueness it had to offer. After Stacey found a plaid print that had every color of the chair backs and carpet at Beano’s, the color palette was set and plaid decorated everything from the envelope liners to the cocktail tables to the table runners. Stacey and Eric worked with Digby and Rose to design a signature antler logo that really brought all the details together. “I thought the plaid and antlers really captured the fact that our guests were in a very unique cabin on top of a mountain,” Stacey says. “It almost felt you are in Ralph Lauren catalog!” Although Stacey and Eric planned most of the details themselves, they enlisted the help of JoAnn Moore from Mountains and Meadows Weddings and Events for the month leading to their day. Their favorite wedding pro to work with was their amazing photographer Laura Murray from Laura Murray Photography. “She goes above and beyond for her clients,” Stacey says. “She is the most positive person we have ever met and her response time was amazing. She has become one of the top wedding photographers in Colorado and it’s because she is not only incredibly talented, but she also knows how to run a business and work with her clients. We can both truly say that she is now a dear friend and will refer her over and over again!”
