A Playful Classic Wedding at the Spoleto Festival USA Building in Charleston, South Carolina
Helen Debuse, 26, a fundraiser for non-profit organizations and Glenn Wolfe, 29, a banker met while volunteering at the BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival, immediately hitting it off. Their chemistry was undeniable and on their first date, only a few days later, lasted over six hours, taking them from sushi to swing dancing, dessert and coffee. The pair kept postponing the end of the date, not wanting the night to come to an end. After three years of dating, Helen knew that Glenn would pop the question soon, but wasn't sure when. When the day finally rolled around, Glenn planned a series of surprises to keep Helen on her toes, including the delivery of four envelopes filled with reasons why he loved her, and a romantic evening complete with a ride in a horse-drawn carriage followed by a proposal at the very place where they had met. For their wedding, they planned an even that was just as fun and surprising for their guests. While they kept the d?cor traditional for their church ceremony, choosing a classic ivory and white color palette, they turned things up a notch for the reception with brighter colors and plenty of fun. From bike taxis that took guests on a whirlwind tour of downtown Charleston, to the live band, a night of celebrating under the stars and elements that spoke to their roots, Helen and Glenn's wedding captured all the things they love, while highlighting their playful personalities.
