A Quaint, Romantic Wedding at Riverside Receptions in Geneva, Illinois

With a romantic, chic fete in mind, Hailey Wouters (28 and a resident physician) and James (Jay) Sibbett (37 and also a resident physician) outfitted their historic venue with a soft palette of lavender, blush and gold.

Unparalleled views of the Fox River made Riverside Reception an easy choice for the couple’s early fall affair. A cluster of hydrangeas, eucalyptus and garden roses hung from an iron gate that doubled as an altar in the venue’s open-air courtyard.

Groomsmen donned gray suits, pink ties and boutonnieres made of a single succulent—one of the bride’s favorite blooms. For her walk down the brick-paved aisle, Hailey slipped into an ivory, strapless gown with a French lace bodice and full tiered skirt. “I instantly fell in love with that dress,” she says.

Fresh raspberry cream filled the buttercream-covered cake, which was adorned with piped rosette details.
