A Refined Rustic Wedding at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, Massachusetts
Lexi Fischer (27 and a marketing manager) and Jeff Fischer (29 and a commercial real estate broker) added a sophisticated, personalized twist to their rustic wedding theme. They chose Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, Massachusetts, because Lexi’s grandparents and parents own homes in the Berkshires, and she loved bringing her loved ones together in a place they have built a lot of memories. In addition, Lexi wanted an authentic, natural feel and thought a barn venue would best fit her vision. “Once I saw Gedney Farm, I was hooked,” Lexi says. “It had everything we were looking for and more -- a beautiful outdoor ceremony space under a tree, a beautiful big barn and a place for us to stay on the premises. It was the perfect space for me to build my dream ethereal, romantic and rustic wedding I had in mind.” Lexi and Jeff worked with Petal Floral Design to add a romantic garden feel to their day. “The flowers were spectacular. My florist, Becca Olcott, helped me play out my ideas with her creativity and artistry,” Lexi says. The couple used a neutral color palette of shades of blush, gray, green and ivory throughout the decor, and Judy Pak Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. One of the best parts was the Momofuku funfetti naked wedding cake. Wanting their own twist on tradition, the couple decided they wanted a birthday cake for dessert -- a four-tier one, at that. It was layered with white buttercream frosting and topped with an adorable bronze-wire “We do” topper. Fun!
