A Refined Rustic Wedding at the Springs in Aubrey, Texas

A romantic Easter proposal that involved a surprising egg hunt inspired Chelsea Faulkner (25 and a business development officer) and Sean Miller (26 and a project manager) to say “I do” exactly a year later at the Springs, in Aubrey, Texas. “It was such beautiful atmosphere,” Chelsea says. “I loved all the big trees and the pathway surrounded by rocks and waterways.” A soft springtime palette of pastel hues added a subtle beauty to the rustic and refined venue. The outdoor ceremony site was adorned with lavish arrangements of pink garden roses and dahlias, and chairs were decorated with pastel-colored ribbons. The ceremony was filled with sentimental moments like the bride and groom releasing butterflies. Other personal touches included the elegant floral arch created by the mother of the groom. After Chelsea and Sean said "I do," guests joined them in the dining room, decorated with rustic wood paneling and elegant chandeliers. Opulent arrangements of pink flowers and sculptural greenery were perfectly paired with blush and mint table linens. And a mix of sparkly tablecloths and runners added a touch of glam to the spring celebration. The couple’s 4-year-old daughter celebrated at her very owns kids' table surrounded by friends and crafts. In addition to a decadent wedding cake, the newlyweds had a candy bar serving sweet treats in their mint and blush color scheme. A grand exit with family and friends waving handmade ribbon streamers was a picture-perfect end to their nuptial celebration. —Marissa Hermanson
